One of the greatest privileges known to any pianomaker is the opportunity to collaborate with the artists of their day and to hear their instrument under the hands of a master.   In turn, the artist’s instrument of choice becomes their voice, and their vehicle for inspiration. Through the unique, captivating sound of the Golden Tone, the Blüthner instrument has been honored to receive the adoration of some of the world’s finest composers and musicians throughout the generations.

Joey Calderazzo

It is with great pride and enthusiasm that Julius Blüthner Pianofortefabrik GmbH announces the addition of international jazz pianist and Grammy award winner Joey Calderazzo to the family of Blüthner artists.

Mr. Calderazzo has made significant contributions as a musical partner to such Jazz luminaries as Michael Brecker and Branford Marsalis. Mr. Calderazzo will be performing and recording with Blüthner instruments in the future. We are excited to experience the fine work of this truly singular artist.

Blüthner Artist Mitra Alice ThamMITRA ALICE THAM

Mitra Alice Tham donne ses premières performances publiques à l'âge de 3 ans et sa première internationale à 8 ans au Japon. Originaire de Malaisie, elle remporte des prix lors de compétitions internationales variées, dont le prix Rosario-Marciano pour l'artiste à la personnalité la plus éminente, le prix de Musique Russe, pour la meilleure interprétation d'une oeuvre musicale russe, le titre convoité "The Excellent Player Award" lors du pretigieux festival Asia Oceania qui a lieu en Thaïlande et enfin le ‘Young Millennium Pianist’ de Singapore.

Hannes Pohlit

Hannes Pohlit (*1976) ist Pianist und Komponist mit polnischen Wurzeln und lebt in Leipzig. Aufgewachsen in Rheinland-Pfalz erhielt er seinen ersten Klavierunterricht im Alter von sechs Jahren und erlernte außerdem die Instrumente Horn und Orgel. Mit 14 Jahren schrieb er seine ersten Kompositionen und wurde zwei Jahre später mit dem Förderpreis des Deutschen Komponistenverbandes ausgezeichnet. Nach dem Abitur studierte er in Frankfurt/Main, München, Leipzig und Weimar Komposition (Hans Zender, Hans-Jürgen von Bose, Reinhard Pfundt), Dirigieren (Gert Bahner, Gunter Kahlert), Klavier (Hanns-Martin Schreiber) und Musiktheorie (Gesine Schröder). Den Schwerpunkt seines reichen Repertoires bildet das Klavierwerk von Franz Liszt, Claude Debussy und Sergej Rachmaninoff.
