Recorded on a Blüthner Model 1 Concert Grand

Mikhail Pletnev’s Beethoven project is a large-scale
recording venture that is unprecedented in his career – his
first Beethoven Piano Concertos and Symphonies
recordings. Pletnev recorded all Nine Symphonies with the
Russian National Orchestra in a Moscow studio, while the
five Piano Concertos were recorded live with the same
orchestra over two days during the 2006 Beethoven Festival
in Bonn.
