Maria Ivanova was born in 1971 in Moscow. She began to study piano at the age of six and graduated with distinction from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in 1989. In addition to her performances and radio broadcasts in Germany, Italy, Denmark, Russia, and Switzerland, she has won prizes at international piano competitions and made several successful CDs.
